Terms of Use

Rules and responsibilities for using Beat Tap, editing media, saving projects, exporting files, and sharing content.

Effective July 27, 2026

1. Acceptance and what Beat Tap does

By downloading, opening, or using Beat Tap, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app. Using Beat Tap, importing media, tapping beats, editing, saving projects, exporting files, or sharing files means you accept these Terms electronically.

Beat Tap is an on-device creative editor for audio timing, video selection, beat-based cutting, clip adjustment, local project saving, export, and sharing. It does not provide music, stock media, copyright licences, publishing rights, distribution rights, or legal permission to use third-party material.

2. Personal, business, and organizational use

You may use Beat Tap for personal or commercial creative work. If you act for a business, client, employer, organization, event, or campaign, you are responsible for having authority and ensuring that your content, releases, licences, permissions, exports, and uploads are lawful.

3. Your content and copyright responsibility

You are responsible for all video, audio, music, images, Beat Files, projects, names, thumbnails, exports, and other content you use with Beat Tap. You must own it, have permission or a valid licence, or otherwise be legally allowed to use it.

Beat Tap does not check copyright clearance or grant rights to third-party media. Beat Files include the selected audio, so sending one to another person distributes that audio. Private sharing does not automatically grant permission to redistribute copyrighted music.

4. Acceptable use

Do not use Beat Tap to create, edit, export, import, store, or share material that infringes copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity, or other rights; is unlawful, harmful, abusive, threatening, defamatory, harassing, or deceptive; bypasses platform protections; or violates the rules of services where you publish it.

5. Age and guardian responsibility

Users below the age required to use apps without parental consent in their location should use Beat Tap only with permission and guidance from a parent or guardian. Parents and guardians are responsible for supervising a child's use of media, exports, sharing, and third-party services.

6. Local projects, backups, and sharing

Projects, Beat Files, thumbnails, temporary files, and exports are created on your device. You are responsible for backups. Deleted projects, deleted source media, unavailable iCloud originals, cleared storage, or app deletion can prevent restoration.

Once you share a file outside Beat Tap, the receiving app or service controls it under its own terms and privacy policy.

7. Results and third-party platforms

We try to make editing, playback, saving, and export reliable, but do not guarantee uninterrupted operation, recovery of every project, compatibility with every file or device, or acceptance by social platforms. Platforms may compress, crop, mute, block, remove, or otherwise alter uploaded media.

8. App licence and intellectual property

Beat Tap is licensed for personal, non-transferable use on devices you own or control, subject to applicable Apple terms. You may not copy, resell, redistribute, reverse engineer, disassemble, derive source code from, or misuse the app except where law permits.

Beat Tap's design, code, branding, interface, features, and documentation belong to Beat Tap or its developer. You retain rights in content you create, subject to rights held by others in the source material.

9. Apple and third-party services

Beat Tap can interact with Photos, Files, iCloud, TestFlight, the App Store, Mail, Messages, AirDrop, the iOS share sheet, Dropbox, Hostinger, the Beat Tap share service, and third-party apps you choose. Shared Videos uses Dropbox and the Hostinger-hosted Beat Tap share service to create short codes, list supported files, and stream selected media to recipients without requiring a Dropbox account. We are not responsible for third-party services or their handling of your files, account, uploads, claims, or data.

You are responsible for having permission to access, download, edit, and share media obtained through a shared link or code. Codes may be forwarded, and the sender is responsible for sharing them only with intended recipients and disabling the source link when access should end.

10. Support, updates, and privacy

Features may be updated, changed, added, removed, suspended, or discontinued. Support cannot guarantee recovery of every project, file, export, or device state. Use of Beat Tap is also governed by the Privacy Policy.

11. No warranty and limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Beat Tap is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of uninterrupted, error-free, secure, compatible, or loss-free operation.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Beat Tap and its developer are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, including lost projects, media, exports, profits, copyright claims, takedowns, account restrictions, business interruption, device issues, or lost data. Nothing limits rights that cannot legally be limited.

12. Termination, changes, and severability

You may stop using Beat Tap at any time. Rights to use the app may end if these terms or applicable Apple terms are violated. Terms that should survive termination continue to apply.

These Terms may change as the app, law, or platform requirements change. Continued use after an update means acceptance. If one provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue.
